Does Elara require insurance?
No, we do not require insurance. We accept HSA and FSA cards, and we offer flexible payment options such as Affirm, Klarna, Amazon Pay, and Afterpay to help with monthly payments.
What states is Elara available in?
We provide services in all 50 states and offer synchronous visits for Louisiana, New Mexico, and Mississippi. If you live in one of these states, you’ll need to complete a 10-15 minute video call with a doctor for approval. Afterward, all future visits can be asynchronous, meaning no video call will be needed for refills.

Elara partners with Beluga Health, P.A., a Florida-based professional corporation located at 1321 Upland Dr., Suite 18399, Houston, TX 77043. Dr. Jonah Mink, MD, is our Chief Medical Officer and is licensed to practice in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Are Elara pharmacies FDA-regulated?
Yes, 503A pharmacies are licensed and overseen by state boards of pharmacy, while 503B pharmacies are registered with and regulated by the FDA. Both types operate under FDA oversight to ensure safety and compliance.
